Bayat Esnaf ve Sanatkarlar Kredi Kefalet Kooperatifimiz 10,12.1970 tarihinde 1163 sayılı kooperatifler kanuna göre Çorum Esnaf ve Sanatkar Kredi ve Kefalet Kooperatifleri Bölge Birliği e Türkiye Esnaf ve Sanatkarlar Kredi ve Kefalet Kooperatifleri Birlikleri Merkez Birliğine bağlı olarak Ethem ÇELIK’in kurucu başkanlığında Halil ÇAKMAK ,Ali ÜNLÜ ,ALİ ÇELEBİ ,ŞEVKİ ASLANBAS ŞABAN KUNDAK, HASAN KAYA 'in yönetime iştiraki ile toplam 30 Esnaf ve Sanatkarın iştiraki ile kurulmuştur. Esnaf ve Sanatkarlar Kredi ve Kefalet Kooperatifi hareketi 12,şubat 1971 Tarihinde iskilip Halk bankası şubesi ile çalışmaya başlamıştır. Bu çalışma süresi 1991 yılına kadar devam etmiş 1991 O'ndan itibaren ilçemize açılan Halk bankası şubesi ile devam etmiştir. 2001 yılında yaşanan ekonomik kiriz neticesinde ilçemizdeki T.Halk bankası şubesinin Kapanması sebebi ile T.Halk bankası' ÇORUM Merkez şube ile 10 yıl süre ile başarı çalışmaya devam edilmiştir. 23,02,2011 tarihinden itibaren tekrar T.Halk bankasının ISKILIP ilçesine Şube açması neticesinde Bu şubeye devir edilmiş tir.26,10,2011 tarihinde ilçemize Yeniden açılan T.Halk bankası şubesine devredilmiş olup Başarılı çalışmalarına devam etmektedir. Esas itibarı ile bu kuruluşların varoluş sebebi, kendi ekonomik gücü ile kredi bulamayan küçük teşebbüs erbabı yani Esnaf ve Sanatkarların bir itibar ve itimat müessesesi yaratarak kredi bulmalarını ve kullanmalarını sağlamaktır. Kooperatiflerimiz Esnaf ve Sanatkarlarımıza Türkiye Halk Bankası şubelerine karşı bir güvence ve teminattır,19,07,2012 tarihi itibari ile Bayat Esnaf ve Sanatkarlarına kullandırmış olduğu kredi tutarı 4,850.000.TL ye ulaşmıştır.
